During the Europpomeet last March we visited the Musée du Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Stavelot. And there she was, this great Alpine. According to the Musée it was a 1966 A210 M65 but the M65 was it’s predecessor, this is the M66. Which also was called A210. As far as I know. Whatever. It’s gorgeous. And capable of speeds near 300 km/h with it’s tiny 4-pot. Just a reminder of a great weekend!

Awesome! I really need to edit my shots, still haven’t gotten round to that. Stupid me even had to go back to the basement to reshoot most of the cars, because I forgot to dial the ISO back up after the outside shots. I guess that was an effect of having loads of fun meeting new people.

The M63 was even better:

Haha, I had so many terrible shots, I don’t even know where to start with editing. In the basement at first I had the adapted 50mm still on it and that only works decent with lots of distance. And outside I tried a little 1:1 panning which will need quite some routine first ;-)

Needs more zoom/bigger lens as well to begin with...

They look quite good, but a bit more practice would only make them better. I learned so much about panning last year at the ‘Ring, I only panned a bit before, but after 6 hours of continuous panning I definitely noticed an improvement.

I need a bigger lens too, but instead I bought another 50mm(a new one this time), which gives great shallow depth of field due to it being f1.8. This allows me to have a similar dof style as with the vintage 50mm, but allowing me to use all settings on the camera as well.

It’s very pretty and fast looking car. The rear part is also quite interesting and the license plate light placement is nice.

I have an old 70-210mm Canon laying around, must try that one one time...

Quite right there. To me, the M63 is the prettiest of all racing Alpines.

That’s what I’d call a great colour

Alpines can handle quite some colors perfectly somehow...

the colours (and photography) change the style of the car a whole lot, that last one looks like a spaceship!!

Insanely gorgeous. Alpine knew how to build a great looking machine!

They’re quite photogenic, the last one doesn’t have a Spaceship’s engine: it’s only a 1.6 4-banger!

And it ain’t even close to my favorite Alpine racer!

That one is somewhat older, the M63.

Eligor made an M63? Damned! Now I need it! Top Model has one as well but that one is usually 50+ euros...

It’s not an M63, definitely not. But all other cars in there seemed non existing. While there was pretty neat stuff.

Those are cool, but yeah, they’re not the Abarth. I could sit in that room with that car for hours.
